As you can see from the above list, the dining delights that you will find are very diverse and there is something available for every taste! The most popular key west restaurants are the American, Caribbean, Seafood (of course!), with the desserts, Mediterranean and delis coming in closely behind. Because of the proximity to popular vacation spots, being the Caribbean, you have a lot of that influence here. You will be very pleased with not only the main dishes, but also with an abundance of tropical fruits.
Liven up your holidays and take in the breathtaking beauty of the ocean and areas from the wonderful array of restaurants that are in the Keys. Be prepared for a lively, boisterous and shall we say exuberant crowd in some of the restaurants that features alcohol and where the bar is a more prominent feature as the influx of vacationers arrive during Spring Break. If this is not your scene then you may want to scrutinize the more subdued options available to you.
One of the restaurants is Nine One Five ~ Bistro and Wine Bar and just one of the reviews on their website states "Scuba Diving Magazine - APRIL 2010 "Stroll into 915 for a true alfresco dinner. Specializing in creatively prepared local seafood, be sure not to miss the Thai whole yellowtail snapper"
Some of the other restaurants are: Grand Café Key West, Sarabeth's for classic American style cooking that we all know and love or Benihana Steaks and Seafood with Japanese flavors and culinary skills that will wow you. For the history and seafood lovers out there, try Conch Republic Seafood Company which is in the business of not only delighting you but works to keep up and promote the long history of the Key West seaport. They have 4 ~ 160 gallon salt water fish tanks to display the indigenous water-life of the Keys.
